FTTH network construction manual

FTTH Council Europe provides the Polish version of the FTTH network construction manual.

The guidelines contained in this manual are intended to serve as a global forum for exchange of experiences and good practice, which can be accessed by new market entrants and alternative operators, whose purpose is to stimulate the development of fibre optic networks in Europe.

The first edition of the FTTH Handbook was published in 2007 and has since been revised in order to update its content and explain the increasingly complex choices faced by operators. This sixth edition covers all aspects of the network: ranging from the control panel to the client device, from the passive network to active devices.

FTTH Council Europe represents manufacturers of fibre optic cables, equipment and installation companies from all over Europe. Its experience gained from more than 160 members of the board, ensures that the Handbook provides neutral information, drawn on industry good practices and practical experience.

The mission of the FTTH Council Europe is to support the implementation of optical access networks in households and businesses. A key element of the FTTH Council work is the education, carried out particularly through their publications containing examples of industry good practice, which helps to speed up the implementation process of this important technology.
