The prizes in this category were also awarded to the remaining institutions involved in the process: the National Broadcasting Council and the Ministry of Administration and Digitization. During the award ceremony it was stressed that a well-prepared and efficiently completed process of transition from analogue to digital broadcasting is a joint success of the Ministry of Administration and Digitization, the Office of Electronic Communications and the National Broadcasting Council.
The chapter of the award also awarded prizes in other categories such as the innovator of the year, the company of the year and the person of the year. NEWS prizes are awarded to individuals, companies and projects that have significantly contributed to the development of the Polish media market.
The award ceremony took place during the "Best in Media" Grand Gala on 9 October 2013. The Warsaw International Media Summit combines an annual Media Summit Congress and the Conference on Changes to Regulation and Law organized by the Telecommunications and Media World. The events are also accompanied by the Broadband Networks Conference.
The Congress was held under the honorary patronage of the President of UKE Magdalena Gaj.
