New templates of reporting forms are valid from 1 January 2015. The old templates have been replaced with new ones to simplify and update their contents.

Visit of the Algerian regulator at UKE

On 11-12 December 2014 a visit of experts of the Authority of Regulation of Post and Telecommunications (ARPT) of Algeria took place in UKE. The visit was held under a bilateral cooperation of regulatory authorities of both countries, conducted on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding between the President of UKE and the President of ARPT, signed on 5 July 2013 during the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR-13).

Reference offer determining the conditions for the provision of access to the Regional Broadband Networks

The President of UKE presents  the „Reference offer for the infrastructure operators”, containing the recommended conditions of access to the Regional Broadband Networks (RBN). The document is a recommendation and is of an auxillary character. In the intention of the President of UKE it is to help the RBN infrastructure operators to prepare their own offers according to the rules presented on 30 September 2014, in the Position of the President of UKE on the implementation of an obligation to provide shared use and telecommunications access to the telecommunications infrastructure or public telecommunications network build within the Regional Broadband Networks.

Visit of the Chairman of Georgian National Communications Commission

On 1-2 December 2014 Vakhtang Abashidze, the Chairman of Georgian National Communications Commission (GNCC) paid a visit at UKE. Cooperation between UKE and the Georgian regulator has been continued since 2011, on a basis of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the heads of both institutions. However, it was the first meeting of the President of UKE, Magdalena Gaj and  the Chairman if GNCC, Vakhtang Abashidze, who has been performing this function since May 2014.

Cooperation over borders – agreement on fight against infrastructure theft

On 27 November 2014, the signatories of the Memorandum on cooperation in preventing infrastructure theft concluded an agreement on cooperation with the German organisation of infrastructure owners – SIPAM.

Ukraine will significantly reduce the level of interferences in the border areas

On 19 November 2014 an agreement between the Office of Electronic Communications and the Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies concerning the coordination of use of frequency band 880-890 MHz for radiocommunications systems in the border area was signed.

Analysis of the price of mobile internet service – as of 30 September 2014

Subject of the study is the analysis of the price of mobile internet service in Poland, comparing average monthly costs incurred by user and the actual rates for the transfer of 1 GB data.

NBF Conference: „From regional networks to access networks”

The tenth Conference of the National Broadband Forum organised as part of the information and consulting meetings of the SIPS (Information System on Broadband Infrastructure and the Broadband Poland portal) project was held on 18 November.

Auction for the reservation of 800 MHz and 2,6 GHz frequency bands under anti-corruption shield

With regard to the importance of the 800 MHz and 2,6 GHz frequency bands’ auction for the development of the telecommunications market and accompanying interest of market participants and public opinion, the President of the Office of Electronic Communications and the Minister of Administration and Digitization make their best effort to ensure that the auction is conducted in a fully transparent way, in accordance with the law and competition rules, as well as good market practice.

Clarification regarding the auction for frequencies in the 800 MHz band

In reference to the untrue information that, as a result of the auction for frequencies in the 800 MHz band conducted by the President of UKE, a part of Poland will be deprived of the internet access, or that modern radio networks will not be developed in a certain area of Poland, the President of UKE indicates that, as a result of the auction, entrepreneurs who acquire frequencies will be obliged to ensure network coverage in almost 90% of the municipalities in Poland.
