The European Commission cuts the number of regulated markets in Europe

The European Commission - acting in communication with the Member States - has taken a decision to liberalize two markets in the EU telecommunications sector and to revise definitions of another two markets - in order to reflect on-going changes and technological developments. These provisions, included in the Commission Recommendation on relevant product and service markets within the electronic communications sector, adopted on 9 October, enter into force immediately.
