On 19 May, a meeting with the delegation from the Information Network Security Agency (INSA) in Ethiopia, took place. This was one of the series of meetings with institutions responsible for the implementation of digital TV in Poland, including the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT), the Polish TV (TVP S.A.) and EmiTel.
During their visit to Poland, representatives of INSA wanted to get acquainted with Polish experience in the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting due to the fact that the process has started in Ethiopia.
At the beginning of the meeting at UKE, the President of UKE Magdalena Gaj, briefed the guests on the advantages of the digital switch-over in Poland and on the need for all parties involved in this process to cooperate.
Experts from the Department of Frequency Resources Management presented issues related to the preparations for and implementation of digital television in Poland, cooperation with the neighbouring countries in that regard and the assignment of the so called digital dividend.
At the end of the meeting the representatives of INSA shared some information about the status of the TV market in Ethiopia and on the on-going digital TV implementation process.
