The first meeting of the Council for Telecommunication Infrastructure Stocktaking


On the 3rd of October the first sitting of the Council was held in the Office of Electronic Communications. The appointment of the Council was the initiative of the President of UKE Mrs. Anna Streżyńska.


The proposal of establishing the Council was presented during the Conference organized on 15th of September in order to summarize the telecommunications infrastructure stocktaking for 2010. The participation in the work of the Council was declared by 14 representatives of chambers and telecommunications operators.

It was settled that the elaboration of optimum proceedings facilitating the process of collecting stocktaking data about the infrastructure owned by telecommunications operators for 2011, implemented investment projects  and the scope of services provided, will be the main task of the Council.

Furthermore, it was planned to launch the information campaign addressed to all entities functioning in the telecommunications market, aimed at familiarizing them with the issue of transferring data and opportunities of making use of the SIIS system.

During the meeting, the members of the Council agreed on the cooperation principles and the scope of work subject to further settlements and deliberations of the Council.

In the course of discussion, participants raised issues that should be solved before launching the second edition of the telecommunications infrastructure stocktaking by UKE, which is planned to start in the beginning of the next year.

In attachment, we present the principal arrangements from the first meeting of the Council, that will be updated and modified depending on the experience gained during the tests and the existing legal status.
