UKE has connected to the Jabber network

From today on (currently in test mode) one can contact with Office of Electronic Communications using web communicators compatible with XMPP/Jabber protocol. Our JID (Jabber Identity), which is user ID in the Jabber network is

At the same time, it serves as the address of our bot, using which consumers can receive directly on their communicators interesting information about consumers' issues arising in telecommunications market and about the work in the Office of Electronic Communications. Only one command "pomoc" (help) available from the list is required to receive these.

Applying XMPP protocol offers a possibility to use various communications complying with this standard. Launching such a protocol by UKE aims to reach as many consumers as possible and tries to raise awareness of consumers' rights in the telecommunications market.

Our information bot was implemented with the assistance of co-authors of the "Teabot" - Maciej Nowak and Mateusz Świszcz, students of Mr Dominik Kozaczko, an IT teacher from the 5th Highschool in Bielsko-Biała. We would like to remind that the President of UKE, Ms Anna Streżyńska, has given her honorary patronage for the project.
