Agreement on a cooperation platform for public-private partnership signed by the President of UKE

2011-01-26

On 26 January 2011, an agreement on a cooperation platform for public-private partnership was signed on the initiative of Elżbieta Bieńkowska, the Minister for Regional Development (MRR).

The agreement was signed by a number of ministers, heads of central-level government authorities, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, local self-government units and their organisations. The MRR has undertaken the initiative to establish a cooperation platform for PPP in response to expectations from the public and from the market. The Platform's task will be to solve evident problems with the implementation of PPP by regional and local self-governments. The signatories hoped for more projects implemented in the PPP formula.

The platform will act as a forum for exchanging information, experience and best practices between local self-governments by means of implementing concrete projects.
