On 25 April 2016 on the invitation of Ewa Wojciechowska-Chojnacka, the Head of of the Lublin Third Age University's Subsidiary in Parczew, the experts of the UKE's Regional Office in Lublin, Monika Pietrak-Żurkowska and Arkadiusz Kozłowski met with student of the university to promote consumer awareness.
During a presentation, the experts provided information about safe conclusion of the telecommunications agreements, conscious use of Internet and premium rate services, need to control the bill level and roaming charges.
The participants were provided with information about institutions to which they may turn for help in case of disputes concerning telecommunications services, and about activities that may be undertaken by the President of UKE in this respect.
The representatives of UKE described misconducts giving specific examples, described particular cases and advised how to resolve existing problems and how to avoid them. The meeting was conducted as a discussion panel with an active participation of the Third Age University students.
Actions of this type have very positive results and it was decided to continue the cooperation with the Third Age University and organise subsequent meetings with the participation of UKE experts and the university students.
