Magdalena Gaj - President of UKE among TOP10 women of ICT industry

Top Ten Magdalena Gaj Prezes UKE
Magdalena Gaj, the President of UKE, was ranked as one of the top ten most influential women in Polish institutions of the technology sector.

It is extremely important that young ladies are encouraged first to study and then to take a career path in sciences and technology, and in particular in a thriving industry of new technologies - said Magdalena Gaj during her keynote speech.

The distinction was awarded at an official Gala presenting the report on "Women in technologies" prepared by the Institute of Innovative Economy. TOP10 ranking of most influential women in new technologies is an outcome of the initiative "renowned female experts" promoting the presence of women in public debate and in media. As noted by Joanna Pruszyńska-Witkowska, the project founder (…) The aim of the report is to show good examples, present the profiles of those women, because thanks to them we can change our stereotypical way of thinking that the world of technology is a male domain and women cannot find fulfilment in it.
The study analysed the number of women in managerial positions in companies of the technology sector. A survey was conducted in those companies asking the respondents to identify most influential women in the technology sector. The report, together with TOP10, is an excellent tool to promote new technologies among graduates of secondary schools and universities with the winners presented as examples of successful careers in the challenging ICT sector.

In Magdalena Gaj's view - All statistics on employment over the next decade show that ICT companies will be the only ones in need of many new and well-educated employees. This is a great opportunity for many young people.
