Report on the coverage of Poland with telecommunications infrastructure

According to the adopted schedule a Report on the coverage of the territory of the Republic of Poland with the existing telecommunications infrastructure, investments implemented in 2011 and planned for 2012, and buildings enabling collocation is hereby presented.


The obligation for the President of the Office of Electronic Communications to draft this report results from the provisions of the Act of 7 May 2010 on supporting the development of telecommunications networks and services (Official Journal No 106, item 675) and the Ordinance of the Minister of the Interior and Administration of 3 March 2011 issued under Article 29 of the above-mentioned Act.

The Report was drafted for the second time and draws on experience collected in the previous exercise. As previously, the data presented in the Report was submitted by telecommunications undertakings listed in the Register of Telecommunications Undertakings kept by the President of UKE, local government units and by public utility companies for the first time.  

he data collected during the inventory is made available in an aggregated and anonimised form, but fully fit for the purpose this information is supposed to serve. The data constitutes valuable information for telecommunications undertakings and other entities with technical network infrastructure.  

This year's inventory significantly contributed to increasing the scope of collected data. The Report contains more detailed data about telecommunications infrastructure, including the infrastructure of the smallest operators.

The data for 2011 constitutes excellent base and reference material supporting the assessment of real developments in the coverage with telecommunications infrastructure over the next years.
