The President of UKE publishes a Guide for the safe use of electronic communications means in cyberspace.
The President of the Office of Electronic Communications, obliged by the provisions of the Telecommunications Act and recognising its role in promoting safe use of electronic communications means in the broadly understood cyberspace, publishes this guide.
Its aim is to show risks to which every cyberspace user is exposed and, in as accessible a manner as possible, indicate, with the use of a few chosen events and situations, recommended precautionary measures and the most popular ways of securing data and devices.
The guide contains important information concerning the mechanisms of threats, consequences of effective cyberattacks and ways to protect one’s own data and computer systems. In the guide there is also a set of information concerning the most important techniques of securing computers, together with practical guidlines on how to do it.
