3...2... 1 ...START! The voting for the best projects within the framework of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) has just started! Poland takes parts in the competition of the ITU WSIS Project Prizes once again.
This year’s nomination has been awarded to 7 Polish projects, including 4 projects from the Office of Electronic Communications:1. Inventory of Telecommunications Infrastructure and Broadband Services in Poland in the category C.2. Information and communication infrastructure,
2. The Consumer Information Centre of UKE in the category C.3. Access to information and knowledge,
3. Certificates of the President of the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) in the category C.5. Building confidence and security in use of ICTs,
4. Memorandum on cooperation to improving the quality of services in the telecommunications market provided to users under the category C.6. Enabling environment.

The votes on the respective projects can be given electronically by logging on to the aforementioned website. According to the rules, each person can vote for only one project in each of the 18 categories. Those which receive the biggest number of votes in their respective categories, will be rewarded the WSIS Project Prize in 2015.Voting on the best projects of the WSIS in 2015 has already begun and will run until 1 May.
This year’s competition has a special setting due to the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) (1865-2015).
