During the visit on 21 January 2016 the Ukrainian part informed about public administration reforms that have been undertaken recently, and about the need to establish a ministry for informatization and telecommunications. Members of the Ukrainian parliament expressed also their wish to learn from the Polish experience concerning the alignment of legal acts in the information and communication technologies to the EU law. The President of UKE proposed to organise a workshop for the Ukrainian party, during which experts would share their experience as regards alignment of the national legal requirements to the EU requirements.
Both parties discussed also issues connected with bridging the digital divide in Poland. UKE experts presented i.a. Polish experience concerning the quality of telecommunications services, inventory and regulation of access to infrastructure as well as allocation of frequencies and operators' investment obligations connected with it.
Both parties expressed their willingness to further cooperate, also with the participation of the Ukrainian regulator, the National Commission for the State Regulation of Communications and Informatization (NCCIR).
The program of the Ukrainian delegation's visit to Poland includes in addition meetings at the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Ministry of Development and at the Centre for Document Personalization.
