ZOSIA - will be the name for one of the satellites of the Galileo European Satellite Navigation System

Results of an artistic contest for children from the EU countries.

 

An artistic contest for children from the EU countries was completed. The purpose of the contest was to popularize the theme of cosmos and the Galileo European Satellite Navigation System. Calling one of the Galileo satellites the winner's name was the prize in the contest.

The Galileo system will consist of 27 operational satellites to be called the names of children from particular countries of the European Union (in addition 3 spare satellites will be placed in orbit).

The work by Zosia Ćwir obtained the highest score among the Polish children's works.
